Happy Birthday Spikey!!!

Spike turned 3 on Monday!!!! I can't believe our pups are already 3 (Lola turned 3 Dec 26th of last year). Spike has been SO good with Mya since we bought her home. I think he's more scared of her than anything, but than again, Spike is scared of his own shadow. We got him when he was 6 months old in 2008. He was SO cute and silly at the pet store where we got him at. The second that we took him out of the crate, he tucked his head under Ryan's jacket, Ry was the one that fell for him. A few days later we went back to visit with Lola and he was running up and down the aisle, with his mouth half open, cocked to the side, HYSTERICAL!!!! The other selling point was that he was on clearance, broke our hearts that someone bought his brother when he was just 8 weeks old and poor Spikey was left by himself. We do think that something may have happened to him cause he's petrified of cars and won't let anyone hold him, not even us, unless of course we have to go in the car, than he cowers down and lets you lift him up to get him in there. And Ry and I swear that he understands English. He's definitely a character!

At first, Lola wasn't a fan of him. She was pissed that her kingdom had to be shared. We didn't think it was going to work so we were going to return him (I know how mean of us). Thank god we didn't because Lola and him are just best friends! Lola definitely still dominates him but he's 100% stronger than her. So after Lola biting his back legs about 50 times in a row, he'll turn around and drag her down by her neck. Than she gets the point and they cuddle up and rest! haha. TOO FUNNY!!!
