Her first sleigh ride!!!

It snowed like crazy yesterday. It was Mya's first snowfall in NJ (we were in VA 2 weeks ago when it came down). My mom called us and said that my crazy father (Mya's grand-dew) wanted to take Mya sleigh riding. Now for anyone who knows my father, they know that the second the snow starts to come down, he gets more excited for sleigh riding than a teenager and rallies everyone up to go! So, he came over, all ready to bring Mya. However, there was no way that he would be bringing her to olympic or dead mans hill. We just went on the little, infant sized hills in our development, the bunny slopes! She was all bundled up like Randy from A Christmas Story. Here's a few pics.

WEEEEE
ok that was a really small hill.
Grand-dew showing her how its done.
Daddy and Mya
ok now let's ALL go as a fam!!!
Thanks for the idea mom and dad, that was FUN!!!!

Sunday funday!

This past Sunday we had Charity, Eric, Reese, Kelly and Tony over for some brunch (Quiche and coffee cake, MMMMMM).
Look at those little feet, SO DAMN CUTE!!!!
With Auntie Kelly who is due to have a baby girl on Mya's birthday!!! SO CUTE!! Her belly was just edible!
Tony (Kelly's hubby and baby daddy) and Mya

We exchanged Christmas gifts with the little girls. It was Mya's first time opening a Christmas present!!!!!
I think I did most of the opening!
AWWWW, they both got eachother Best Friend attire!
Next we had pretty tulle to wrap around her to try and get her more into the whole unwrapping presents.
Her very first little tea set, SO CUTE!!!!
Sippin on her tea.

Now she's gettin the hang of it. Earlier in the day she fell and was rockin a bruise and little bump, so we covered that up real nice with the purple bow!!! Eric Carle stroller cards, she LOVES them!!!!!! She's very much into the touch and feel stuff these days!
Now, Reese was seriously the first baby I've seen who actually opened a present. It was cute!
Tony wanted to rock the bow.
This girl LOVES her books!!!
So Kel started to read it to her.
Next year we'll have another little girl in this pic! Can hardly wait!!!!

Oh Christmas Tree

Mya's very first Christmas tree!! We decided (well I guess I really did) that we were gonna go to a farm to cut it down this year instead of our usual Burger King parking lot tree. At first Ryan thought I was crazy, maybe cause he knew he'd be the one doing all the work of cutting it down and lugging it (I guess he was right). I can just remember going with my family as a kid to get our Christmas tree, it was so fun picking it out and having my father cut it down. A family tradition that I wanted us to have too! We started at the Wolgast farm and it was TERRIBLE. They had all these trees that were short and fat with the long needles. We didn't know how they sold ANY cause they were SO oddly shaped. We prefer Douglas Firs (or really any with the short needles). Mya was sleeping the whole time we were there which also bummed me out. I wanted her to be part of it and to see all the trees.

So we left, I said to Ry, you win, lets go to Burger King and get one. I let him lead the way (he was in Uncle Joe's truck ahead of me). He saw a sign right down the road for another farm and to my surprise he turned!! I was SO excited, totally made my day. And in we pulled to Harris Farm!!!!
We drive in and notice all they have are short needle trees, BINGO!! I open the door to get Mya and she's awake!!! Turned out to be the PERFECT day and we found our baby girls very first Christmas tree!!!

Here comes Santa Claus

So, we went to the mall for Mya's first picture with Santa. We thought it would be so easy, she's a happy baby, doesn't fuss when we hand her off to anyone usually. Well, we were wrong. No crying, thank god, but she would NOT smile for anything. I was playing peek a boo, talking like an idiot and literally started barking like a dog (she usually always cracks up when we bark like Lola or Bailey), NOTHING. She even played pat-a-cake, which is when I thought, awesome, she'll smile, NOPE. We got a cute one of her looking up at Santa, but no smiles. Maybe next year!

Happy Date-a-versary to Ry and I. Today marks a decade of love. It's hard to believe that 10 years have gone by, but if you break it down, it's only 3,650 days, that sounds much shorter. We sure have packed alot into those 10 years. LOVE YOU BABY!!!
I get home from work to all the lights off downstairs, Ryan comes to the door (as he always does to let the dogs out so they don't bark and wake up Mya since she's napping). I ask why the lights are out, he starts singing, Happy Date-a-versary to us, Happy Date-a-versary to us, Happy Date-a-versaryyyy to ussssss, Happy Date-a-versary to us!!!!

And 3.5 dozen roses. How did I get so lucky?? LOVE YOU RY!!

In addition to our day, Mya is also celebrating. Today she turned 8 months old!! WOW, now that's just crazy!! HAPPY 8 MONTHS peanut!!! LOVE YOU!!!
She's grown so much in 8 months, it's truly amazing to watch. Here's a little pic from today.

Nona's 80th

WARNING PICTURE OVERLOAD!!!!!
We went to VA this past weekend to celebrate Nona's 80th Birthday. Pete was able to come up from NC and join in on the festivities which made it even better!!!! We left Saturday morning, ride down wasn't the greatest. Mya was crying the first 2 hours on and off (we should have waited till her naptime to leave), it was raining, than started snowing once we hit MD, didn't make for a good road trip. Once we got there, she finally got in an hour nap which was good. This was her first snowfall. She was amazed by it.
You may be seeing this picture on your christmas card (if I ever get them out).
Last time Pete saw Mya she was 3 months old.

Let the party begin!!!
My mom and Nona look identical!!
