We're a family of 4!

Ashley Elizabeth is finally here. Wow, what a fast arrival she made too. It all started memorial day morning when I had a few random contractions. Now that I've been through this before I know what a real contraction from a braxton hicks is, so I knew when I got it that something was starting to take place in there (although I'm pretty sure anyone could tell the difference, the real ones HURT!). Like Mya's labor, I was in denial it was going to happen so fast. My parents had taken Mya Sunday night so Ry and I could have a nice night together before baby girls arrival, little did any of us know it'd be the next day. My parents bought the bean back home around 10:30am, right before the Memorial Day parade. We all headed over to the parade together and while there, I probably had about 3 more contractions. On the walk back too, which is literally 2 minutes, I was holding Mya and had to pass her over to my mom cause I was having a contraction. Still, I didn't think she'd be arriving in just 4 hours from then. When we got home and my parents left, I started cleaning, sweeping the downstairs while Ry played with Mya in her water table. I was having contractions about every 5-7 minutes. I quickly hopped into the shower, at this point, I knew we'd be heading to the hospital that day. After getting out of the shower I was in full on labor, contractions were coming every 4-5 minutes and the pain was so there. Mya and Ry were both upstairs and I asked Ry to make a few phone calls, to his mom cause we were supposed to go to their house for a bbq, my parents to get Mya since she's used to sleeping there for naps, to Mary to see if she could watch her if need be on Tuesday and to the Dr. He was nervous, poor guy. We weren't exactly prepared. We didn't have our bags packed and didn't really have this all ironed out, but Ry always comes through and takes good care of all of us. My mom got there, took the bean and the dogs and I still hadn't heard back from the Dr, I told Ry, we cant wait we have to go now. Off we went to the hospital. I was in more pain than I've ever been in, contractions were every 2-3 minutes, not giving me a break in between. I could barely walk and before we left I literally sat on the couch (after taking off my pants, it hurt to even have clothes on) and told Ry I wasn't gonna make it, I wish I had a picture of his face, he was nervous. He got me to the car, it felt like the longest, bumpiest ride to the hospital I've ever been on. We got there and again, I couldn't walk, I stepped out of the car and literally fell back in telling him I couldn't walk. Some random guy walked by and asked if we were ok, Ry looked at him and said, my wife is in labor. The guy said, can I get you anything, Ry goes, yes a wheel chair. The guy said ok but I'm claustrophobic (great he won't make it up on the elevator). So Ry just ran to get me one and took me up. When I was finally in my labor and delivery room they attached me to all the monitors but the room was like 100 degrees, apparently there was a problem with the ac that day, WONDERFUL!!! So they blasted a fan on me which helped a little bit. The Dr came in (my favorite Dr from the practice) and she did an internal to see how much I was dilated. She looked at me and said, honey you're 9 cm you can have this baby any minute! I said, there is NO WAY, I need an epidural. The pain was so unbearable, I couldn't imagine having to deal with another second of it. They said that the anesthesiologist was down the hall and it was the fast one on duty, SCORE!!!! He came in, having to sit still for a few minutes was harder than anything I've ever done (it felt like) and after having him stop a few times to get through a contraction, I was all epi'd up and felt nothing in no time! That was literally the craziest, most unbearable pain I've ever endured. I don't know how women give birth without the drugs, my hat goes off to you, cause seriously, if we do have more kids, I already told Ry, we're heading to the hospital the second I feel the first contraction come!
So, after the epidural was given, the Dr gave us some time to relax, let the epidural work and she just didn't really want to shock the baby too much too fast. So there we were, in complete shock with how the day was happening. We were going to welcome our newest addition into this world so soon, it was so surreal that it was finally here! After about an hour the Dr came in to break my water, than she was going to give us about another half hour for everything to happen. She broke my water and said, ok, I see her head, change of plans, time to start pushing! OK, I guess it's time! I started pushing and 15 minutes later, at 3:27pm, Ashley Elizabeth Bea was born. I still remember the second I saw her and she was placed on my belly. I immediately thought she looked exactly like Mya, with strawberry blonde hair. Just absolutely beautiful. And immediately I fell in love, all over again. I was scared I wouldn't be able to love another child as much as I love Mya and it's totally possible. Her cry was loud and she was ready to be here as much as we were ready to meet her! She had the tiniest little booty and longest toes and feet! Her face was so cute, everything about her was just perfect!
A little bit later my parents bought Mya in to meet her new sister. We were so excited to see her reaction, it was so cute too! She came in, was excited to see Ry and I than gave Ashley a little kiss and it just melted our hearts. She was so gentle and loving. She pushed her to the nursery and just loved being a part of everything.
We couldn't be happier or feel more blessed than we do right now. Never did we think we could love another child as much as we love our Mya, but we do. I would do it over and over (well maybe not too many times, but you know). I can't wait to watch Ashley grow and to see her little personality shine through. She's such a little angel and I just don't want to put her down right now. I love this little cuddle monkey. Please don't grow up too fast little angel, we love you to pieces and are so happy to have you here finally. Now we can kiss and love you in person and not just feel you kick and do backflips in mommies belly. xoxoxoxoxo a million times over.
One of our very first pics of Ashley!

All cleaned up but not so happy to be all cozy in my belly.

This pic totally reminds me of the bean.

She is completely precious! I just love the stories of how Mya interacted with her new baby sister. Too sweet for words.
