Big Apple Circus

So Mya was a happy camper on Saturday (despite having bronchitis) so we decided to take her to the circus and make use of those front row tickets we purchased. We thought that even if she does get fussy, we'll just leave, we'll just play it by how she is. Thank god we did cause she absolutely LOVED it! She was on the edge of my lap most of the time, hands gripping the railing. It was SO adorable seeing how excited she got to see all the dancing, animals and fun! We went with our good friends, Char, Eric and their daughter Reese. The girls just were so cute and had so much fun!!! Oh and before you even look, beware, we weren't allowed to use flash in the circus. UGH, I really need to learn my camera!
We're HERE!!!

Mya before she ripped her adorable pigtails out.

These performers were amazing!
The girls in amazement! Reese sucking her fingers and picking her nose, too funny!!!

Loving every second of it..

These guys were pretty cool..

This is how Mya was most of the time, HYSTERICAL!!!
These chicks could bend like you could not believe...
Gross those girls on the bottom were biting on a part of the metal piece AND their butts were literally touching their heads? REALLY?

Intermission time!!! Pretzel, mmmmmm

No more???

Now back to the show, and out come the animals!!! This is when Mya went WILD!!!!!

HI HORSEY!!!

The goats got on the horse's back.

And this guy was just nuts...was going in circles on his head! WACK!
We had to leave 10 minutes early cause Mya wanted to get down and start walking around. I was so impressed though, I didn't think she'd last so long sitting on my lap. GOOD JOB DOODLE!!!

She cracks me up, I got down and said "Come to mama!" She gave this look and raced towards me!!!!

My little muffin! LOVE HER!
We had such an amazing time, the girls were great and it was so fun to watch them get so excited! Can't wait till it comes back again, we'll definitely take her again!!!!

Mya is 1.5!

WOW, is that even possible that my little snickerdoodle dumpling is 1.5 years old??? How did this happen?? She has developed such a firecracker little personality that I absolutely LOVE! Watching her grow is truly a joy to us and just so much fun. Every day she just seems to amaze us. She is still growing like a weed and will probably surpass my height by the age of 2! She's wearing a size 7 shoe! The beginning of the summer, she was in a 4! Maybe we weren't putting her in the correct size, cause we went to Stride Rite to get her measured. I mean really, most of the 7's are still big (I think we need them more for the width, chubby foot over here), but still, I'm buying 7's, really? I've been buying 2T in bottoms and 3T in tops. There is enough room for her to grow into the tops, and sometimes I'll get the 2T top but for the most part, WOW, this child is like her daddy!!!! Watch, we'll have a boy next and he'll be petite like me! I think that might kill Ry!

She switches back from girlie girl to tomboy on the regular. She has those times where she'll play with her baby doll, push her around, hold her, kiss her and hug her and try to feed her (quite funny). But than she has her moments of playing with trucks, rocks, and anything with dirt. I LOVE that about her, she's dabbed into it all and has NO fear of anything.

She still LOVES taking your finger (and will take just about anyones finger for that matter) to take you somewhere that she wants to go. Or to just sit you down with her as she plays.

We had her check up last night and here are her stats:
Height - 33 1/4" (90%)
Weight - 28lbs 11ozs (90%)
She's only gained 9.5 ozs since last appointment, the Dr thinks that last appointment wasn't accurate. She's not really saying too much more as she was last time (a few words but not as much as they say she should be). We need to keep an eye on this cause she should be putting 2 words together now. She understands everything we say though so the Dr isn't too worried. Let's go child, TALK ALREADY!!! I'm sure that once she does start talking I'm going to be wishing she wasn't (well that's what alot of people are saying, i don't believe it), but I just get so excited for the next part of her development every step of the way.
Not much else, oh wait, how could I forget she's got bronchitis. Yup, Friday morning (her actual 18 month bday) with a cough. We didn't think too much of it, maybe just a cold coming on. Throughout the day it got worse and by Saturday morning, she had that wheezing sound going on and we KNEW it wasn't just a cold. We took her to the Dr, her temp was 102.6 and the Dr listened to her and said, yup, she's got bronchitis. OH NO, we had the Big Apple Circus to go to that afternoon (pics coming soon). The Dr looked at us and said, so go! She was a happy little bean and said she wasn't contagious. They're contagious when it's the cold, once the cold settles (and became bronchitis for her) it's not contagious anymore. SWEET!!!! As long as she was happy we decided to just go!
Anyway, here are a few pics from Saturday morning. Mya loves putting my shoes on and walking around. This afternoon when we got home, she put my pump (just one) and was walking around in it, it was hysterical!

Bed head!

Gymboree

Mya has her Gymboree classes every Monday nights and we bring her Saturday mornings sometimes too. It's so cute and since we've been going for a while now, she's developed some friends there (so have Ry and I). There is this family that has 3 kids under 3!!!! Mya is IN LOVE with the 3 month old, I'm talking, WILL NOT LEAVE HIM ALONE!!! Usually he's in the car seat so she'll walk over every 2 minutes to make sure he's ok in there. This past Monday his mom was carrying him in a baby bjorn, so Mya just kept going up to him and kissing him and touching his face. I felt so bad that Mya was all over him but the mom kept reassuring me that there she was fine and loved it!
In an effort to save money we were so close to cancelling our membership. There's always money that can be saved, right? Well after this Monday night class we knew that we couldn't do it! Mya loves it too much to not go anymore.

I kept telling Ry to let go, she's ok to go down herself. He's so cautious with her, he wouldn't!

WEEEEE

He let her go down the fully padded one alone though, haha!

There's the little boy, Finn, all the way to the left in the bjorn, SO CUTE!

At the end of the class, the teacher holds Gymbo, I guess you can call him the mascot (even though he's just a stuffed clown) and they sing this song. The clown goes to sleep and everyones supposed to lay on the ground and be quiet, than everyone gets up and dances around a little more. Well Mya NEVER lays on the ground, on Monday, she decided to get in the teachers face and see if she was really sleeping!!! It was HYSTERICAL!!!

Sunday Funday

Sunday we had Gia's Christening, Regan and John's daughter. She is so freakin cute and was such an angel! Mya on the other hand, was a handful! However, once we left, Ry and I both agreed that it wasn't fair to her. We drove an hour north to the restaurant, right when she woke up from her 2 hour nap. We got there and expected her to be fine, sitting in the high chair for 3 hours, she wasn't!!! We just kept taking turns going outside with her to walk around and just be up, out of a seat! Than after that, we had to put her back into the car for the hour car ride home. We know that next time we will not bring her if it's an hour trip away to a restaurant. She's not at a good age where she can sit still for that long!!! Oh well, it was still fun and Mya absolutely LOVES Gia. She would walk over to her in the car seat of the swing and just crouch down in front of her and wave, it was so cute!!!! I didn't get any pics when I was there though. When we got home we let Mya play outside a bit before we went in and had a dance party!!!

Buckle up, its the law.

HEYYY

DANCE PARTY!!!

Fun filled Saturday

Saturday was a beautiful day, I started the day off right by going to visit my nephew, Willie. He was awake the ENTIRE time I was there!! LOVE IT!!!! He is such a little peanut and has already changed so much from the first time I saw him, his birth day!!!

Motherly love!

We headed over to Babci's after Mya's nap. There is a park right next door to her house, Ryan used to play there as a kid, so did Nusi (Babci's in the same house that Nusi grew up in), so sweet to see Mya playing there now!

Mya taking Babci to the swings.

Come on dad, we need to get higher than this! Little nut doesn't have fun unless you push her higher than you can imagine!!!!! DARE DEVIL!

...that's more like it!!

YAYYYYYY

This face cracks me up!

An overload of these pics maybe, but it's so hard to pick just one!!!!

Yea, that's HIGH!

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Than she pointed to Babci and wanted her, Babci wasted no time and grabbed her up, she absolutely adores Mya, it's so sweet!
DUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Staring at the ducks in amazement!

Come on Mya lets go get a closer look.

HI DUCKIES!

Wanna swim with them??

Time for a Mya, Daddy crawling race...
Who do you think won???? MYA DUH!

Than Mya decided that she wanted to wear Daddy's hat.

A little big, eh?

Veering off the path...

BOO!

Nusi, Mya, Ry and Babci!

And now the ladies.
We had such a great time!!!! Gotta do that more often!!

pee pee on the potty!!!!

So I know I still have to update with this past weekend but I can't even contain myself, Mya went tinkle on the potty tonight for the very first time!!!! I couldn't even believe it. Every night before tubby time, when we've stripped her down, I ask her if she's gotta go potty and she'll usually go over and just sit on it. She has never peed or done anything, just sitting on it, from time to time she'll even throw my bracelets and necklaces in there, or stand on it like a stool. Well tonight we were hanging in her room and I took off her diaper. She hadn't peed in a while (her diaper was dry when I took it off) so I decided to just bring the potty into her room, just in case she wanted to surprise us. After a few minutes I said, Mya do you have to go potty? She went over, like she usually does, sat down and made this pushing face, I thought dude, she's about to do something. All of the sudden her potty starts the song (she has a potty that when you tinkle in it, it makes a song), I couldn't believe it!!!!! She got up and Ry and I started cheering like she just won a gold metal in the Olympics!!!! She was 100% rewarded with an ice pop and we were just SOOOO excited!! What a HUGE milestone!! I mean I know this isn't her being potty trained by any means, but it's a huge step in the right direction and I'm SO thrilled!!!! God I love this child!!!
And cause you KNOW I had to get a pic!!!!
