Easter festivities

It was Mya's 2nd Easter this year, last year she was just 3 days old and pretty much slept the whole day away. She sure made up for it this year. It started right when she woke up!!! Here's what the Easter bunny left for our little bunny!

This was much easier than Christmas and having to open the presents. She loved looking at the basket and ripping everything out since she knew what was in it!

Picking through everything.

She LOVES her bouncy ball!

Everything's opened and what does she want? The directions from the laptop! LOL, go figure!

Making a mess as usual!

The good after she went through it all

We headed to Babci's house first for a Polish brunch. Mya had a ball, she got tons of goodies from everyone and LOVED walking around Babci's house checkin everything out.

She LOVES my cell phone (well pretty much anyones cell phone for that matter, as long as it works, cause she KNOWS when it's a fake). She puts it up to her ear (well more like behind her ear), it's HYSTERICAL!!!

Looking up at Babci's light in the kitchen, completely mesmerized.

Mya was LOVING her Aunt Tabi's handbag. She was carting it around with her everywhere, and let me just tell you, it was NOT light. This girl is STRONG!

Giving kisses to her life size bunny from Aunt Tabi and Uncle Michael. SO CUTE!

After Babci's we headed to my parents house. It was BEAUTIFUL out!! Uncle Joe put out easter eggs for a little hunt for Mya bean.
Grand-Dewey was taking her around to find the eggs.

I swear, Shadow (my parents cat) is like a dog. He loves being outside. Mya LOVES him too, she does that clicking sound to call him, it's SO funny!!!

Mya and Tony.

Talking to Granny.

Poor Joey had to work, but Mya wanted to wake him.

These are the only pics I have with her on Easter, and I also realize that I don't even have a pic of Ry, Mya and I (or of Ry and Mya). BOOOOOO

Pete's new tattoo.

Pete and Mya were having a ball. It looks like they're having a conversation here. SO CUTE!

She just LOVES him!

Than Frank joined in and they were being silly.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. I hope your weather was as nice as ours!!!!

Oh what a beautiful day!

Saturday was absolutely beautiful out. We headed down to Redbank after visiting the Easter bunny. What a beautiful day. Since Mya doesn't want to be strapped down in the stroller, we just let her walk around. She walked up to EVERYONE who walked by, looked up at them, and started laughing. It was hysterical! When we were down by the water, there was a couple sitting on the bench, Mya kept walking up to them. Every time she walked away, she'd turn around, laugh and walk right back over, it was so cute!

WOW, Ryan looks HUGE next to our little peanut.

I love these pics of them walking together.

Silly face Bea.

These faces crack us up.

MMMMMMMMM, goldfish, there's nothing better.

Giant daddy and tiny Mya.

She sat so nice while we enjoyed lunch at The Downtown.

And she even let us run into Urban Outfitters to check some stuff out. She just kept taking these balls and throwing them around.

Back outside to the sunshine!

She loves when Daddy flips her over!

She walked right up to this little boy in a stroller. He didn't really want much to do with her. She was lovin him though!

I was CRACKING up at this dog. I made Ry snap a pic!!!!
Time to go.
We'll mail Mya home.
Cutie pie

When we got home we decided to decorate our Easter eggs. Mya was so intrigued by the eggs being dyed.

WELCOME GRACE!!!

I have been meaning to make this post for the past 2 days. Kelly, who was due on April 8th (aka Mya's birthday!), welcomed her beautiful baby girl, Grace Elizabeth, on Saturday afternoon at 5:56pm. Weighing in at 5lbs 13ozs and measuring 18.5 inches, she's a little peanut. I CANNOT wait to get my hands and lips on her!!! Isn't she just perfect!
CONGRATS Kelly and Tony!!!! We love you!!!

Little miss day care drop out

Yes Mary is still watching Mya, however Ry and I wanted to establish a back-up in case there was ever a time that Mary needed time off and we couldn't take off from work. So we decided to try Child Time, our old neighbors, Adrienne and Nick's, old stomping grounds. We thought, this will be a cinch, Mya LOVES being around other kids. I decided to try today as a little test run since I got out of work early for Good Friday. I got her all ready this morning, fed her breakfast, and off we went. We get there and I set her down with all the little girls (there were 4 other little girls in the room she was in) she walked right over and began to play. I talked with the one teacher (Lori, it was Joann) and Mya didn't even look back at me, nothing. I felt good, sad, but good. I walked out, cried the entire way to work thinking, she's growing up, she's independent (I know that's a great thing, nothing to be sad about). I get to work, begin my day and decided to call up around 10 to see how she is. Joann picks up and here is how the convo went:
ME - Hey Joann, this is Liz, Mya's mom, how is she?
JOANN - Well, not so happy.
ME - (fighting back tears) Is everything ok, maybe she's tired? When did she start crying?
JOANN - I tried giving her graham crackers, a bottle, cheerios. Tried putting her in the crib, she wanted nothing to do with it. She started crying right when she realized you weren't here.
ME - (now crying) I'm coming to get her, see you in a few.
JOANN - Are you ok?
ME - I'll be ok, see you soon.
As I pull up, Joann opens the door for me, with Mya in her arms, still crying. My heart was breaking. I felt so bad for the poor thing, I take her and she's still trying to catch her breath. They were so nice there and felt bad that she was so sad. When we left, I looked at Mya and said, I promise I'll never do this to you again. I'll take the days from work and figure whatever out that I can. Maybe in a few months we'll try again (hmmmm?), but I just feel so bad still. I know that alot of kids do this and they're used to it after a few days, but I'm just a sucker and feel too bad. Maybe if we began at a younger age, but I can't.
Here is how the day started. I thought she'd be fine, she was walking up to the door and all.
Immediatly went over to the little girl and toys to play.

being silly

Man nights are always fun with Mya and I cause it's a free for all! Last night wasn't so much messy, but she was cracking me up with the top to her bowl.

SILLY GIRL!!!!!
