A trip to the zoo

We took Mya to the Turtleback Zoo on Saturday. I haven't been to that zoo in forever! I can't even remember to be honest. We got there nice and early to try and beat the sweltering heat. It was still pretty warm, but so much fun!!!
This pic is just funny to see the size difference. Mya was amazed by that fan.
The first animal, a beautiful peacock. Although I really wish we could have seen her beautiful wings (they're wings, right?).

Mya was entranced.

And all of the sudden, she wanted out of the stroller, surprise surprise. She loves that freedom! So there she goes with her sippy cup, walking around like a big girl.

Too bad she's not looking.

Hanging with the prairie dogs, they were SOOOO CUTE!!!
She loved the little tunnel to get to those outlooks.

With her daddy.

Back in the stroller for a hot minute to check out the BIG OLE ELK!

The bird sanctuary was really cool. You could buy a stick with bird food on it and the birds would literally sit there and pig out! They were all so pretty. Mya was in awe of the birdies. We let her try to hold it and she whipped that thing around so quick, the bird jumped off in about a half second.
Daddy, I want that one!

Time for the birdies to share!

Poor guy was hanging on by one foot.

SO CLOSE!

Loving every minute of it!

HI BIRDIES!!!

We spent alot of time here!!

Going for the handoff to Mya.
The bird was still brave, or maybe just real hungry!!!!

What do we have here????

MR ED!

She really liked him.
The llama was a hot mess

and this was one FAT OLE PIGGY!
Checkin out the pony with daddy.

We were able to feed the sheep. So we let Mya try it out! Meanwhile holding on tight to her graham cracker in the other hand.

slobber slobber

ANY MORE?????

After she was all wiped down and disinfected, she finished up her graham cracker!!!! Can't lose that, she works hard on her buddha belly!

FREEDOM!!!!!!!!

Right before she stuck her shoe in her mouth, EWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!
My favorite part, the leopard. Such beautiful animals.

Mya could care less, too busy chomping down on her grahamies.

GET IN MY BELLY!

She loved the pheasants too

We got a cherry icy while waiting in line for the choochoo train. Mya LOVED it!!

ALL ABOARD!!!!

Saying that she LOVED the choochoo is an understatement. I mean check it out for yourself!!

And we ended the visit with a family shot!!!!!
