and we're off...

SO, as you may know, we went on vacation last week. SO.MUCH.FUN! I can't even begin to explain now, because the next post will be all about the amazing time we had in NC and how we're totally doing this every year!!! Since it's such a long drive, we decided to stop at my Nonna's house in Northern VA to break it up. Made it easier for the girls to handle, and for us too!
All packed and ready to go, WOW!

We got to Nonna's on Friday around midnight and put the girls right back to sleep from the car. We woke up nice and early Saturday morning and headed outside so we didn't wake anyone up.

When we were all up and fed, Nonna put Ry right to work. Trimming the shrubs and even cutting down a tree! Too bad mountain Mike wasn't there with us!

The bean went outside to pick some beans and tomatoes for dinner.

She absolutely loved this job!

Nonna loved it too!

My cousin, Charles, is living with Nonna right now. So it was nice visiting with him too. Thanks for lending us your bed too Charles!

CUTE! Ash is rockin a dress that my great grandmother made! My mom and aunts wore this too when they were little, LOVE those types of hand me downs.

We hit up the park for a bit. Really wanted to find this park that we used to go to when we were younger. It was an all wooden playground. I'm pretty sure they took it down cause so many kids were getting splinters though. We found a good one though. Ash didn't know what direction to run to first.

Mya was taking everyone on a plane ride.

Ash just kept going down the slide. Everytime she tried to climb back up the slide, didn't work kid.

Mya made a few friends and they were making sand muffins. Ash wanted to join in too.

Got back to Nonna's, had lunch and Ry and Frank started trimming the shrubs...Mya helped clean up.

Than they cut down a tree...

Peek-a-boo

I asked Nonna if she could make biscotti with us. I wanted to learn from the master! Mya got a lesson too.

love those helping hands and tippy toes.

MMMMMMMM

So much fun.

Thank you so much for everything Nonna. It was great to see you and spend the day with you. Hope to do it again soon. xoxo
