to Babci's house we go...

Mya and I took a ride out to Babci's house yesterday. We had a great time, Mya was looking all around, checking out all her new surroundings. Babci took her around the living room showing her pics of her daddy as a baby. Than she took her out to show her the garden.
Her photoshoot before we left.

I love my family

Just a few pics of the fam I wanted to share. They're older pics of Mya so you can see how much she's grown in such a short time.
This is from April 8th, Mya's birth day! Mya and her Babci/Nusie, we'll see what Mya spits out first!

This is the only pic I have of Jonny boy. He doesn't usually allow me to take pics of him, I gotta use my photography skills to sneak some recent ones in while he's not looking.
The OG Babci and Mya on Easter. Look how itty bitty she is!
Uncle Michael (NOT Uncle Daddy, haha) and Aunt Tabi on Easter.
Cioci and Mya at the end of April.

I can't get over how much Mya has grown in the past 4 months and she continues to shoot up. We have her 4 month check up next week. I'm excited to see how long she is, last appointment (2 month) she was in the 90th percentile for her length!!!! So, you don't think she'll be 5'3" like Mommy, do you????

Mya's first wedding

We had Marybeth and Mike's wedding on Saturday. We took Mya to the ceremony, her first of many weddings. She was so good, we sat in the back in case she got loud. We had to step out a few times cause she was getting chatty when she finally woke up!

Mya stayed with Nonna and grand-dew for the reception.
For those of you who know MB you know that this entrance is very fitting!
our good friends, Regan and John

The next ones to tie the knot, 9-18-09!!

By the end of the night, they were drinking their beers out of coffee cups. I wish I had a pic of them fist pumping in their seats, good times!!!
Last Thursday we got a visit from Mya's cousin, Ava, Jen and Mimi. Ava and Mya are so cute together. Ava was singing to her and gave her a sweet little kiss on her head, so cute!
ready to party!

Silly Mya wanted to try on Mommy's shades.
Than Daddy was doing airplane rides, she loved them!!!

The few. The proud. The Marines.

For those of you who don't know, my little brother (although not so little), Pete, joined the Marines early this year. He left for boot camp in March, right before Mya was born. A bunch of us took the trip down to watch him graduate on June 19th at Parris Island. It was breathtaking. First of all, seeing all those young men in uniform, in perfect sync, realizing that those are the people fighting for our country. THAN seeing your younger (not little) brother march by, brings tears to my eyes. I have so many memories of him being such a clown (which of course he still is) but he has grown up so much and I can't even begin to explain how truly proud I am of him.
Here are a few pics from our trip.

As they all walked in, everyone in the stands were going WILD as they hadn't seen their Marine in 13 weeks!

Here's our Marine!!!

The first time he met Mya.

We got to see their base, including their barracks. It's exactly what they show on TV, it's no tempurpedic mattress, that's for sure!

After Graduation!!!!!

After graduation day he came home with us, it was a LONG 13 hour car ride. Myas first road trip that went so smoothly, I was so proud of her!

After his 2 weeks home, he had to go down to Camp Lejeune in NC for weapons training. He was there for a month, graduated on August 4th, GO PETE!!!!!!!! So, now he's out in San Diego for schooling. He's training to be an Assault Amphibious Vehicle (AAV) Crewmember, AKA a no joke Marine. He'll be the guy on top of the hummer shooting that enormous gun. So, please keep him, and all of the other military, in your thoughts and prayers. They are fighting hard for our country and, in my eyes, they don't get nearly enough recognition.

So now that he's in Cali, he's got his cell phone back!!!! We all went months without any communication besides letters, so now that we can call and text him, its awesome!!!! He sent me a few pics yesterday and on Tuesday after his weapons training graduation.
This is him and his friend Anderson.

In Cali, he sent this to me and said....I've been in Cali for 10 hours and I never wanna leave!

We love and miss you Pete. xoxo

Pretty in pink

Mya and I have been trying to go for walks everyday. I really got the PERFECT time of year to be home with her! Well yesterday on our walk, she started to get fussy. Being that we were right by a patch of pink petunas, I took her out of the stroller for a closer look at them. She was so amused by them, it was so cute!
