BIRTHDAY GIRL!

Last Friday was Miss Mya's 2nd Birthday. I took off (and Ryan's been off) so we could spend the day with her! Before we went downstairs she wanted to get dressed (meanwhile I'm still in my pj's behind the camera). SO we got her all 2'd out in her outfit for the big day!

I go, OMG Mya there's presents downstairs for you!!! I think she thought it was Christmas again!!!!!

We got her a new pair of heels (since she broke her old ones from using them too much!). She immediately wanted to test em out!

And continued to open more presents with them on, LOVE IT!

OMG Sparkly nail polish!!!!! And we stopped to paint her toes! Than she painted my toes and some of daddy's nails!

....and onto more gifts!

Never knew she wanted this book so bad, haha!

AND onto the big gift, her tricycle. Ry set it all up the night before and we had it in the kitchen. So when she opened the box we can show her it all set up!

She wasted no time putting stuff in the back storage container and was having a BLAST!

So of course, we HAD to eat our cereal right next to it, the table was TOO HIGH!

Than we sang Happy Birthday with no cake (gosh, not at 7am people!)!

She got to make LOTS of wishes today!

Than we headed to the Camden Aquarium. It was raining and when we pulled up we noticed about 10 bus loads of kids pulling up too, WONDERFUL we picked the same day that EVERY school in the state went!

Time to pet the sharks. The WHOLE time we were there she kept saying SHARK SHARK (sounded more like SHA), than we get to the tank and she doesn't wanna be held to pet them.

She finally let Ry hold her though.

Than to the sting rays. She had much more fun there. They came much closer.

It was raining so we didn't really spend much time outside to see the Penguins, which are one of her favs. They were so cute!

They even had a few parrots that Mya loved to watch.

Than she went over to this other tank to check out some fish.

I said, Mya how do the fish swim in there....and here I am cracking up and Ryan goes, GROSS, get her off that dirty ground, hahahaha, WHOOPS!

We got home and the little miss decided she wasn't going to nap, WONDERFUL!!!! But she was still happy as can be! She even wanted a pic with Lola Belle.

And gave her smooches too.

Nona, Dewey, Nusi and Grandpa came over for cupcakes. Mya was opening a gift and Spike got awfully close, SO not like him!

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY BEAN! *tear*

OMG our little bean turned 2 yesterday, where has the time gone??? What a little girl she is too! She LOVES wearing my heels, putting on tutu's and dressing herself (my little fashionista!). Sometimes it is annoying, especially when she wants to wear the mismatching outfits, but hey, that's how we express ourselves, right?! She LOVES to take out all of her clothes from her dresser and try them on, can't quite get them over her hiney but that makes it even more funny! She than will (try to) fold it or just throw it on the ground. I see a dirty room when she hits her teens!

She's starting to talk SO much! Impressing us everyday with words, still working on putting more than one word together, every now and than she'll throw one out. Like Thursday morning, I was getting ready to leave Aunt Mary's for work and I said, I love you Mya, and she said, I love. Totally didn't say you but it was so sweet!

There are so many things I love about this little girl...

I love the way you get so excited when I get home from work. She knows when I call Ry on the way home, she screams MAMA in the background and I'll talk to her until I pull up. Most of the time it's me just babbling on and on and there was even a time when Ry picked up the phone and goes, Mya threw the phone down about 5 minutes ago, haha! She's at the door when I get home and seeing that little face and big smile, melts my heart!

I love the way that the second I (or anyone) gets into the house, you try to take off their jackets.

I love the way that everywhere you go you want to just take your shoes, socks, jacket off and make yourself at home. NOT shy!

I love the way you give the biggest kisses, pushing as hard as you can sometimes! And the hugs too, just melts my heart. I love it the most when you just randomly come up and give us kisses for no reason. I love the way you immediately come over to kiss us when either of us hurt ourselves too, such a love bug.

I love the way you ask me to rub your back when I lay in bed with you to put you down. She'll put her back to me and lift her shirt in the back and say rub!

I love the way you scream MAMA when you wake up in the morning from your room. I yell back and say, MYA are you awake? She immediately answers YEAAA! I love the way you say YEA too!

I love the way you dance your heart out to certain songs and ask for certain songs to be played.

I love the way you make me sing you either the bubbles or tooth brushin song when I brush your teeth and you dance when I brush!

I love the way you say CHEESE when I ask you to smile.

I love the way you love clothes, we're going to do some damage when you get old enough to shop with me!

I love the way you help me bake, you're such a great helper and it's so fun to have you by my side when we're whipping something up.

I love so many things about you I can't even list them all, these are just a few of the many...I LOVE that you are our 1st and oldest daughter. You bring such light into our lives and I thank God for you every single day. You have opened up another part of our hearts to loving and we are just head over heels for you. Watching you grow these past 2 years has been truly amazing. It's gone by SO fast, I wish it would just slow down.

weekend fun

This past weekend was pretty quiet, no plans, which I absolutely LOVE sometimes!!! We took Mya to get a much needed bang trim on Saturday and than headed to Raffertys. I just LOVE getting this child dressed, there's nothing better than picking out an itty bitty outfit for a cutie pie! And I LOVE that she loves clothes just as much as her mama! Here she is after her bang trim, now she can see again!! all smiles! After a diaper change, the leggings didn't come back and she wanted to wear my shoes, LOVE IT! And off she goes, I have to say, she's pretty darn good for a beginner!

I finally took out her easel that she got for Christmas! After seeing how much she loved the dry erase board at Aunt Mary's I had to! I think she's playing the next Bea/Cipot/Olarra/Naumann game night pictionary game!!!

Monday she goes to a play group with Aunt Mary. They were going to celebrate her Birthday so we made cupcakes. There was no icing and we wanted to sing her happy birthday (yes a week early, we've actually been singing to her EVERYDAY and letting her blow out candles!!!). And yes, you see it correctly, no icing yet, we did the icing on Sunday.

That didn't stop her from blowing....

Sunday we woke up and made the icing. Mya got to lick the attachment to the mixer and was loving every second of it!

Daddy helped ice, cause he's awesome.

Than we got a little visit from Sophie. We put a pair of Mya's shades on her and had to get these 2 cuties!!! OMG can you even take them?!!!

Such a fun weekend, can't wait till this weekend!!!!

Ryan is such a DIY type of guy, which I LOVE!!!! Ever since we moved into our place he's wanted granite in the kitchen. I said no, we're not gonna live here forever, I don't see the reason for it! He repainted the kitchen cabinets to make them look nicer, which made a HUGE difference about a year ago (maybe more). He was talking with our neighbor a few weeks ago and they both decided they were going to put granite in after Ryan found a great price at a place in PA. Here's what our counter tops looked like before the reno (he already ripped off the back splash). Taking the sink out, working hard! Mid project.

All installed and LOVING them!!!!! He really did a great job and I'm so lucky to have such a handy hubs!!!!
