to the beach ch ch ch

Growing up, my parents used to take us to the beach all the time, we LOVED it. Marrying a Polish man changed my summers around completely. He's pretty pale and burns the second he steps onto the beach. He doesn't even really find it relaxing one bit. SO, we haven't taken Mya to the beach yet this summer. Well, our good friends Kelly and Tony (and Tex too) live down in Wall so being that Kelly is a teacher, and has the summers off, Mya and I decided to take a ride down. When we got there we decided to go take a walk on the boardwalk. It was REALLY hot but Mya got to see the ocean for the first time. We didn't go on the beach but we got to see the sand and ocean, it was so beautiful.

When we got home Mya was being SO cute. She just LOVES using her little leg muscles to hold herself up.

Ryan finished his 3rd year in his apprenticeship program yesterday so got out of class at 10am. In honor of his hard work we decided to hit up Rafferty's, our old stomping grounds, for some lunch! Mya was happy to be at the bar, she liked it even more when she was standing on the bar, YIKES!!!

toes in my mouth

Mya found her toes a few days ago and for the first time this morning she put them in her mouth! Of course I didn't have my camera on me when she did it but I tried to get a video after. Not quite in her mouth but close enough here! Don't mind her hair, I was combing it and making it spike up, haha!

tubby time

Mya is just SO cute in the tub, she LOVES the water!!! So we had to catch a few of her tubby time and her cute little chubs.

weekend fun

This past weekend was a busy one. We started it off on Friday night where we strolled back to our neighbors for some pizza and booze. The kids were so cute!!! Lori got some really cute pics of them.

Adrienne even got Ryan up to catch some lightining bugs with her. She caught a TON and was using Greg's beer mug to save them. A couple of the bugs couldn't handle the buzz.

Saturday was Rachels bachelorette party, we had dinner at Girasole than headed into the city to see Bobby Lee at Carolines Comedy Club. It was AWESOME!!!! Especially when he pulled Rachel on stage and gave her a lap dance. That's right, Bobby Lee gave Rachel a lap dance!!!!!

Sunday was Aunt Mary's 40th Birthday! So we went over for a BBQ.

baby laughs...

Mya started laughing a while back but i'm thinkin it was more unintentinal than anything. This week she has been giggling SO much. It started on Sunday when I was kissing her neck and she let out this adorable little giggle, than I started kissing her arm pits and it was over! I can't get enough of it!!! Last night Tony and Mags came by to see her and Tony had her cracking up, SO CUTE!!!

We went to a birthday BBQ this weekend at Mimi and Poppy's house. Mya met her cousin Ava, as well as all the other Cassidy's, including little Cassidy (who was celebrating her 6th birthday). Ava was loving Mya, all she wanted to do was hold her, it was very cute!

OK, so after Ryan telling me time and time again to start a blog, and after following so many others blogs (that we just LOVE checking out), we're here! I'm sure it'll be primarily Mya pics and great stories of the new and exciting things she's learning; like how she just started rolling over and how yesterday, for the first time, she grabbed her feet (totally unintentional but still so cute!).

SO, a little background...We got married almost 2 years ago, 9/28/07. We had such an amazing wedding!!!!


...a little less than a year later, we unexpectedly found out that we were pregnant. We were a little scared but couldn't wait to take this ride to parenthood! We found out our little peanut was a girl (which was an entirely new shock since we could have swore it was a boy) and started buying pink EVERYTHING!!! Poor Ryan for all the pink, but he was so into it too. He painted the room in no time and had everything put together for her a few months before her arrival. Than on April 8th, Mya Elizabeth Bea arrived!!! Weighing in at 8 pounds 12 ounces, she was a BEAST!!!!

...what an amazing day it was, a day we'll NEVER forget, the best day of our lives, BY FAR!!! And now, she's over 3 months old!!!!!
